Round Table Series 

Every year, finalists and other writers who submitted to the annual Playwrights Program were invited to a series of table readings hosted by DVRF.

Over the course of 5-6 weekly meetings, each writer had one of their full-length plays read aloud by professional actors. A special industry guest was in attendance, as well as staff from DVRF and our producing partner, OHenry Productions.

What followed was an intimate discussion of the piece. It was our hope that these meetings not only provided a variety of perspectives on each work- commercial, dramaturgical, and aesthetic- but also an opportunity for playwrights to network with other writers and members of industry. Past guests included Tony-winner Greg Nobile (“Slave Play”, “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder”), Kimberly Loren Eaton (“The Velocity of Autumn”), representatives of major non-profit theaters, and creatives and producers from New York City and beyond.
